Amongst our large collection of reclaimed and antique doors we have a rather special set of Victorian doors with their own dark past. These doors were removed from the vaults of Clerkenwell Prison, or the Clerkenwell ‘House of Detention’, within which hundreds of Victorian dissenters were incarcerated awaiting trial.
